Towards freedom is an inspiring art & collage workshop with Wollongong based artist Libby Bloxham. Aimed at expressing the freedom we wish for, for all people. Participants might start with a quiet time to reflect on this idea and to allow inspiration and guidance to flow.
Choosing a body position, participants will lie down on a large paper, helpers will trace around their body outline. Participants will then colour/collage their paper figure with materials provided.
Once cut out they will be hung together, representing a community whose desire is a move towards equality and freedom for all.
All received funds will be donated to help with the refugee crisis.
Venue: Westminster School (go here for a map)
Time: 10am to 12pm
Dates: January 11
Cost: $10/person (entry by donation for congress registrants)

About Libby Bloxham
Libby’s work is conceptual and is about the ‘interconnectedness’ of all life, reflecting the idea that nothing exists by itself but only within its relationship to everything else. Libby works almost entirely with recycled materials and found objects, the detritus of our urban culture, to help minimise waste but also because she loves the story in these objects and materials. To add to that, giving them new chapter in their story is a constant.
